Hope in Strange Places
It’s funny how strangers can touch your life in ways you thought unimaginable. It’s strange to think that you have hope in a complete stranger when everyone you know has given up on you, is ignoring you or has no idea what you going through at all. It’s comforting to know that you still have hope. When you look into another life clearly illustrated before your eyes, it clears things up in the confusion that is your mind.
What makes things more unusual is when you haven’t even seen the stranger, and even he doesn’t know you exist. To you he is just a name, conjured to hide his own true self. He could be anyone. All you have are words, put together to provide a meaning and insight into his life. That is all you have. To learn from, to be a better person, to not think of yourself as a lesser person. And in this small world, where sometimes we feel like we have no hope, we realize we will find it in the most unusual of places. It will be cleverly hidden but when you find it, you will see what it is like to be strong again.
Thank you stranger, whoever you are. You helped me in a way no one has ever done. You showed me life and how to live. I’m forever grateful.
